Color Story: Shades of Pink

Tulips from Westwind Flowers and Landscape Plate

I have been dreaming about photography works all week. Not every photo makes into the project. And sometimes I have to let go of ideas that just don’t work—like this picture of a landscape scene on a plate. There is something deeply romantic about a plate that tries so hard to be more than a plate. This one takes you on a walk through the forest. The tulips are the first installment in my spring flower subscription (a fresh bouquet every week for 6 weeks). I’m having that feeling of anticipatory anxiety where everything is going so well . . . and I’m anxious that I’ve forgotten to worry about something, like how I might fall off of this cliff at any moment. But what if it’s really the worry that IS the falling off the cliff ?
