Less Than Perfect Light — Donna Hopkins

I love golden hour light, and photographs taken during those magic moments are often my favorites. But taking pictures during those perfect light hours requires some tricky logistics that are sometimes just not possible. So I often find myself in the middle of a bright, hot, glaring-sun August day, camera in hand, wondering how to make a decent picture and what the subject might be. When this happens, I lean into the light and look for ways to make use of the high contrast, embracing the richness of summer color and the shimmering heat waves. Best workout ever!
