little-by-little

The photographs of this project build slowly. Pieces drop in and out and circle back again. Each picture gets a second-chance.

Betting on Myself

I’m working on a collection of images taken in and around thrift stores.

Not sure where this work is headed. No artist statement. No strict rules, only small art installations noted or constructed. Pops of color. Playful arrangements.

The ever present theme of grace.

Need to learn how to use my iPhone camera properly.

Betting on myself. Finding joy in my work. Storytelling.

Anchored

I am filled with wonder. Wonder in the sense of awe at these ordinary moments of noticing. And wonder in the sense of curiosity. Seeing and taking pictures without judgment. All that time I spent trying to make things have meaning, trying to make them just so, trying to evaluate and correct . . . now I understand. I am building flexibility and resilience.

In the experience of finding my way to being anchored in safety, I can offer that welcome to others and begin to change the world, one person at a time.

A book recommendation for you my dear friends. Anchored, How to Befriend Your Nervous System by Deb Dana.
