Even in the hardness of life, I will not give up flowers. And soft light. And self-care.
There’s nothing more fun than sharing a great find—a favorite book, a new hiking trail, a coffee shop with homemade pumpkin bread. I believe that when we give generously the world is a better place. And it gives me great joy to spread good news about good people. I just finished a FREE Show-Up Session, lovely lightroom layouts, offered by Kim Klassen. I’ve taken numerous classes from Kim over the years, and she never disappoints. Her teaching style is kind and gentle. She’s an amazing photographer with a heart of gold. And she is a powerhouse of information, especially with regard to Lightroom.
There’s always something or someone to market or brand or sell. I’m not sure I’m anyone’s “target audience” when it comes to spending because we live by a budget and money is carefully managed. But every class I’ve ever taken from Kim was a worthwhile investment.
Thanks, Kim! I had so much fun making collages of my recent pictures from my walk around the point in Colonial Beach. This walk is only a couple of miles, following the outline of the small peninsula that is the town. Down one side along the Potomac River and back up the other along Monroe Bay. But every one from my little hometown knows this route as “around the point.”
I am beholden to this place, shaped by geography and culture. Taken back to a memory of what life was like in that small town, growing up.
I’m over on ViewFinders today, writing about the stages of photography, back to basics, and coming full circle in creative work.
I’d love it if you’d stop over to visit and join in the conversation.
