As a child growing up in a small Southern town, I didn't have the opportunity to visit museums and art galleries. This fact was balanced by the advantages of a home along the Potomac River where nature was our playground and the adventures of my imagination were brought to life.

As an adult, I often visit museums and art galleries and studios, finding them to be deep wells of inspiration. In Richmond, Candela Books + Gallery, is currently exhibiting the works of one of my favorite photographers, Susan Worsham - By The Grace Of God. Her photographs remind me of home . . . and they are the kind of pictures that remain with me, stored away like so many childhood memories.

Sometimes people don't see the beauty around them until you show it to them in a picture. My images become proof that beauty exists in the most unlikely places. –Susan Worsham
