I was ecstatic when I read the Sunday newsletter from the creative women of 3191 Miles Apart because they addressed an issue that I am often confronted with . . . how to respond to the deceptively simple question, What kind of photography do you do?
"When people ask what kind of photography I do or what the 3191 Miles Apart project is about, I get really uncomfortable and bumbly. It is hard to put into words. But perhaps we are doing this work of over-noticing—of letting things move us. I still don’t know what to say at parties though."
Perhaps the best answer is the simplest.
I make pictures of the things that move my heart.
