I’d like feedback to see if I’m achieving what I think I am with my photographs. But helpful feedback isn’t so easy to come by. Friends and family boost my morale with comments like “Great photo!” and this is much appreciated, especially in view of my tendency to be overly critical of my work. But I still need suggestions on how to improve. And, these suggestions need to come from someone who is knowledgeable and has the ability to tell me why my photograph is interesting and creative or ordinary and boring. In other words, I need feedback from someone whose opinion I value.

I’m searching for a way to have my photos critiqued – to hear what others see, and from that to make adjustments to improve my work. I might try a local photography club or meetup or maybe search online for photo critique sessions. I found this option from Lightbox Photo Academy. Or I might ask a photographer friend for constructive criticism. I see this as a necessary next step.
