I am really not much of a gardener unless you count herbs, but I love plants and flowers of all sorts, and I cannot make it through the dreariness of winter without house plants. I look for the small, easy-to-care for, we-promise-they-won’t-die variety. Any little bit of the outdoors brought inside makes me happy. Green is my favorite color (not the vibrant version but the soft and subtle shades like moss and sage and willow).
I adore these plants nestled inside vintage holiday themed planters at Harriet’s General in Culpeper, Virginia. Owner Kate worked as a floral designer in a previous career and it shows. Everything in the store is made in the USA, and the letter press cards and stationery are to die for.
Turns out, most of my holiday shopping is for me.
I read this post out loud to Dave, and he said, “That’s just about right!”
