I am proud of both of my sons. I am amazed at the men they have become and grateful for all I have learned in being their mother. I’ve stepped back and tried not to over-mother them, tried not to judge or give unsolicited advice, tried my best to let go and still hold on. It’s not easy, but it is worthwhile.
I’m bragging a little here about the exhibit my son, Jacob, created at the Swem Library at the College of William & Mary for gay pride month.
And feeling my own joy over a guilt-free slice of lemon chess pie, where food is neither good nor bad, but simply delicious.
