Once or twice a year, my husband offers to take a picture of me. He always asks me to smile. This is how he knows me mostly.
But there is also a lonely space inside, and sometimes I catch glimpses of her in pictures. Reading this quote, on a beautiful post from Chantelle Grady, I am reminded that such longing is natural, not something to be fixed or remedied.
