My sister called to say, “You know that house, the one where Mom used to mention the big Christmas cactus in the picture window? Well, there’s a gorgeous tree with big pink blossoms, ones that look like tulips, in that front yard. I just know you’d love to take a picture of it.”
Here we are at the place with the magnolia tree in full bloom. I wish the bright pink flowers could last all season, but at the same time I know it’s the transience of this moment in time that makes the view spectacular.
I embrace whatever resonates with me the most, and then carry those insights along on the next part of my journey.
