every last one

I took a picture of this pear tree in my neighborhood last fall, too.

This week I remembered to look for the tree once again. Wondering if the tree would be laden with fruit.

I was not disappointed. I had forgotten . . . there are actually two trees. One with pears gathered in clusters and another with the pears hanging like ornaments.

I had to trespass just a little bit to take the photos. It was worth it. The makeshift orchard is located on a lot with an abandoned home. (The man who used to live there had a basement full of firecrackers and a large CB radio tower that toppled over. The police were called. I can’t recall the exact story but I do recall he and his collection were deemed dangerous and he moved out — maybe to jail.)
