the vernacular of landscape

I don’t typically consider myself a landscape photographer, and though I admire pictures of scenic views, I am not often drawn to make these kinds of images.

Now I am reconsidering. Perhaps my interpretation of what constitutes a “landscape” has been too narrow.

I’m seeing my surroundings in a fresh way thanks to The Vernacular of Landscape, a survey of contemporary landscape photography curated by Subjectively Objective founder Noah Waldeck and co-edited by Float Photo Magazine, showcasing images from 58 artists from around the world.
