I set the GPS for Stella's Grocery in Richmond. I love to explore the city and try to visit different neighborhoods on each trip. After picking up a Greek Chicken Quinoa Bowl for tonight's dinner, I strolled around the neighborhood. Just across the street from the grocery, I wandered into a beautiful gift shop, House of Floralie.
"Located in a sleepy little section of Richmond, Virginia’s historic Near West End, we are a fine and fancy gift studio dedicated to carrying a well-curated selection of thoughtfully made fragrances, award-winning small batch foods, books, bath and body products, accessories, and stationery from around the world."
I combed through bowls of washi tape from Japan, inhaled the fragrance of fine soaps, turned the pages of beautiful books, caressed handmade linen aprons, . . . you get the idea. This place is a dream come true for lovers of fine, handcrafted goods. But what really caught my eye was the friendly guy behind the counter. What a pleasure to meet Bobby.
