It's been a rough week.
Mom's hip repair failed and she had to be re-admitted to the hospital for hip replacement surgery. She was in tremendous pain and because she was in pain, so were we. My sisters and I once again linked our arms together to form the circle of support that carries us.
It is tempting to throw my hands up in the air and surrender to the situation. And there is certainly some wisdom in letting go. But there is also great comfort in continuing with as much of my routine as possible. And my routine includes the grounding practice of photography.
A few pictures from a ride in the country, just before all hell broke loose.
