in the neighborhood

I walk this block most every week. I return again and again in different kinds of light and weather.

My camera is not a fence; it does not mark a boundary around me. It does not separate me from my subject. In fact, just the opposite is true. I use my camera to interact with this place, finding fresh ways to see what I have seen many times before.

I had a nice conversation with the gentleman who does upholstering and restores vintage cars.

I stopped to chit chat with the antique dealer on the corner.

Making pictures along the way. Creativity can help make us whole.
