Because I had to break down and read the camera manual and watch a YouTube video or two to learn how to photograph fireworks,
and because I had to make my way to a good vantage point an hour before the fireworks were scheduled,
and because I had to carry both my tripod and my 70-200mm telephoto lens,
and because the fireworks in Fredericksburg only lasted 15 minutes and most of that time was spent trying to locate the settings for "bulb" and "infinity focus" and "long exposure noise reduction,"
and because I took 16 pictures that were either too bright, too dark, or the burst was either way out of the frame or just barely inside,
and because there was only this one successful picture of fireworks,
well, here it is.
