What I recall most about these photos is that I felt content at every moment while taking them.
There is a push-and-pull to life, where we strive to be better or more or less or different, while simultaneously wanting to simply do what pleases us. On these glorious days, at The Saltwater Retreat, I spent my time immersed in work I love, living wholeheartedly.
Like the seasons and the tides, my relationship with photography has cycles; such is the rhythm of life. Deeply profound and intimate work followed by episodes of separateness, quietness and space. The pictures I made here are filled with passion and energy. I can still feel it.
Now is the time for reflective solitude, time to re-charge.
